Lion Brand®
Lion® Cashmere Blend - Landscapes®
GAUGE: 9 stitches + 14 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) with 1 strand each of A and B held together as one. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
|
HAT
With 1 strand each of A and B held together, cast on 24 stitches.
Next Row: * K1, p1, repeat from * across the row.
Repeat last row 2 more times for ribbed edge.
Next Row: Knit all stitches.
Continue in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) until about 1/4 ball of A remains.
Work 3 more rows in k1, p1 rib (same as at beginning of Hat), then bind off all stitches.
FINISHING
Fold piece in half with cast-on and bound-off edges together. Folded end is top of Hat. Seam sides. Follow package instructions to make a pompom with remaining B.
Thread large-eyed blunt needle with a 10 in. [25.5 cm] length of B. Draw needle through top of both side seams of Hat, pull to bring edges together and knot. Stitch through pompom to secure to top of Hat. Weave in ends.
